Continuing Education (CE) Requirements
Current Cycle: July 1, 2025 - June 30, 2027 (April 30, 2027, to avoid a fine!)*
IMPORTANT UPDATE: Fair Housing Continuing Education Requirement: The New Jersey Real Estate Commission has determined that 1 Fair Housing credit will be required for the
current CE cycle.
New Jersey Real Estate Continuing Education Regulations state that all licensed salespersons, broker-salespersons, and brokers must meet all set Continuing Education (CE) requirements within a two-year cycle in order to maintain their Real Estate License. All rules and regulations are set forth by the New Jersey Real Estate Commission.
Due Date: April 30, 2027, with no fine / June 30, 2027, with a $200 fine from the
Real Estate Commission.
Credit Requirements: 1 Hour of Agency, 1 Hour of Fair Housing, 2 Hours of Ethics,
2 Hours of Any CORE Topic, and 6 Hours of Any Combination of CORE And Elective Topics
for a total of 12 continuing education hours.

IMPORTANT UPDATE: All REALTORS® must complete their Code of Ethics to satisfy NAR’s Triennial Code of Ethics requirement which is due by December 31, 2027. The Code of Ethics must be no less than 2 hours, 30 minutes of instructional time. The training must meet specific learning objectives and criteria established by the National Association of REALTORS®.
